Vera
The Maltese Islands are world-renowned for the production of top-quality tomatoes. At Vernons we’ve been making the most of that for decades, by producing a scrumptious selection of tomato products. Our range includes various-sized packs of Vera Kunserva (sweet tomato paste favoured as a spread for Maltese bread), Vera Zalza Pronta and Vera Zalza Pizelli (a ready-made sauce), Vera Caponata (a tasty stew made from tomatoes, olives, capers and aubergines, which is ideal as a sauce or the accompaniment to a main meal) and Vera Polpa (chopped tomatoes ideal for use in sauces).
